Happy 50th!

It's Malaysia's 50th birthday...
But at the risk of being called 'see yeh' again, I'd just like to point out that technically since Malaysia was only formed in 1963, it is not really our 50th birthday.

But what the heck, for simplicity sake 50th Birthday it is then.

There has already been lot's of posts and articles written on Malaysia's independence. But what independence in the context of our own personal life?
I would guess it changes as move into different stages of life.

0 to 1 years old: Getting milk whenever we need without having to cry our lungs out.

1 to 2 years old: Being able to crawl, walk or run where ever we want.

3 to 5 years old: Able to do whatever we want without hearing the dreaded word 'NO!'

6 to 12 years old: Going to school only when we feel like it and being able to stay up watching TV for as long as we want.

13 to 16: No one lecturing us on what is good and what is bad, plus no awkward 'sex education' stuff from the adults.

17: Getting your driver's license!!!

18 to 24: Going off for your tertiary education with no worries in the world and no one nagging you for not calling home often enough.

24 to 2X: Getting hooked with your life partner.

2X to 3X: Not needing to wake up in the middle of the night to feed the baby.

4X to 6X: Enough dough in the bank to last a lifetime

7X and above: Able to reach the toilet in time without assistance. ;p

Anyways, Happy Independence Day!
